Our two-day course is designed to up-skill coaches in the areas of coaching, movement progression, and programming for group functional training.
Eleiko Functional Training Level One introduces participants to the 7 major movement types (squat, hinge, lunge, press, pull, combination, carries). It also introduces fundamentals that are required to build basic functional training programmes.

You will develop a deep understanding and practical application of effective organisation, instruction, cueing and feedback for 7 major movement types. The Eleiko Coaching System provides a simple and effective process utilizing equipment, position and action to instruct proper lifting technique. Utilizing this system will give you the tools you need to progress client/ athlete groups/individuals through proper progressions of the 7 movement types.
You will develop technical proficiency in the squat, hinge, lunge, press, pull, combination and carries. The Eleiko Performance System creates the framework for you to systematically spot, adjust and correct movement compensations. Utilizing this system will give you the ability to manipulate positions and actions of the 7 movement types to meet the ability of the client/athlete.
You will develop a thought process that helps you create long and short term programmes related to any client’s/athlete’s/ group’s ability and/or goal. The Eleiko Programming System teaches you to manipulate the acute variables of a programme to achieve the desired outcome. Utilizing this system will help you track and manage client/athlete/group stress through effective program creation and adjustment.
